Alpaca: Escape For The Butcher's Shop

Yes, that's a "for" not a "from". You as an alpaca are "escaping" from the farm (at the permission of the farmer) where you could live happily being sheared for sweaters in order to head to the butcher shop. The farmer wants to instead make you into sausage, and you, being an obedient and altruistic little alpaca, willingly offer yourself up for the slaughter.
For some reason, alpacas in this game are meat eaters, so to reach market weight you must first eat progressively larger animals until you are big enough to get released. Then you have to maintain this weight each screen by finding and eating critters (mainly cattle) solving puzzles and avoiding lions and tigers and bears.

Plot hole: one of the alpacas says that only animals with sharp teeth could eat me, yet when I tried to eat a horse, I died.
Actually, it's game logic. "I know an old lady who swallowed a horse... (she died of course)" And so will you if you try to eat horses. Basically, it's not that you're being eaten in this case but that the animal gave you explosive indigestion.
When you have eaten everything not likely to cause upset stomach, head to the farmer up top and he'll give you a key to the gate.
